What Is Bus Bar Coating?

Bus bar coating is the use of the electrostatic spray, or fluidized Bed method, to apply durable epoxy coatings on Bus Bars to insulate them. Epoxy coatings are thermosetting dry powders that are used as protective covers on various electric conductors. Bus bar coatings are common in:

What Materials/Products Can You Use Bus Bar Coating On?

Epoxy powder coatings are used on copper and aluminum surfaces. Bus bars are made of copper or aluminum and conduct a significant amount of electricity on a switchboard forming a junction between two or more electric circuits. Epoxy powder coatings can be applied to:

Epoxies are made from the polymerization of a resin and a hardener with a catalyst. Epoxies have high mechanical properties, and they can be modified for better thermal insulation and high electrical resistance.
